Webasto is hiring a Commodity Buyer to develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
Achieve annual BOM cost reduction targets using long-term agreements, market testing, resourcing, value analysis, target pricing, etc.
Monitor supplier performance using the supplier balanced scorecard for price, quality, delivery, engineering metrics; and drive corrective action as necessary.
Analyze and negotiate price change requests for assigned parts/commodities.
Develop and source LCCC strategies balancing benefits of lean logistics and local suppliers, with low cost positions for long distance suppliers using a total part lifecycle cost approach.
Maintain QAD data integrity for suppliers and commodities.
Define RFQ panel for new programs for program buyers.
Bundle volumes and consolidate supply base over time.
Manage purchasing responsibility for supply disruptions and maintain supplier risk assessments.
Serve as escalation point for plant supplier disruptions and concerns or accounting concerns.
Manage the Approved Supplier List for assigned commodities including supplier new business hold.
Conduct supplier VAVE cost reduction workshops at suppliers.
Drive supplier development priorities with SQE department.
