Press Release: Metro Detroit Career Expo Vaccination Clinics

Southfield, Michigan – The Hired In Michigan Career Expo is partnering with Michigan National Guard (MING) and Oakland County Health Division to host a series of free COVID-19 vaccination pop-up clinics starting Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Southfield, Michigan.

The clinics will open on Thursday, July 15, and continue through the summer career expo series. The Hired In Michigan Career Expo events will feature Metro Detroit companies with immediate job openings in several career fields; over 500 full-time and part-time positions are available. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available, and job seekers receiving a vaccine will receive a voucher good for two tickets to an upcoming Grow With Google® Resume Writing and Job Search workshop at Hired In Michigan Career Institute. Free parking will be available at the Best Western Premier Hotel, located at 26555 Telegraph Road, Southfield, Michigan.

The pop-up clinic will open and operate through the career expo from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm on July 15, 2021.

Walks-ups are welcomed. No appointments are required.

Vaccines are free, and insurance is not required. Individuals 18 and older are eligible to receive the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Individuals 12 and older are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine as a first or second dose. Children under the age of 18 receiving the Pfizer vaccine must have consent from a parent or guardian. In preparation for your visit to the clinic, please complete the consent form prior to your arrival.
